I don't know where i have reached in Fullmetal alchimest : brotherhood .. !?

I have watched Fullmetal alchemst all of the 1st season .. than when Fullmetal alchimest : brotherhood was out ,, i watched some of the episodes , and i don't remeber where i've reached :S .. but what i know is that it's bellow ep.10 and what i am sure is that i saw ep. 1 ,2 , 3 , 4 ,5 .. and what i am asking is can i skip 6,7,8,9 ? and doest it have some other stories that are'nt realated to the 1st season , :) ..thxx all ..
