Problems with the starter?

I have a 1999 Chrysler 300M, 6 cyl. At first when tried to start it it started fine then died before I could put it in drive. After trying several more time it finally just wouldn't start. It didn't click or turn over at all. We checked the battery and every thing's fine. Let me know what y'all think
