Lifespan of a doberman?
She's definitely getting up there. Just keep taking her to the vet, getting her checkups, and everything. You'll know before she goes. My neighbor's Golden Retriever was 14 before he died, and he just slowed down a bit. He didn't get sick or anything, just died of a chronically long, happy life. Nothing will prepare you for losing your best friend. Just focus on what you have with her now - you'll always have it, but now's different because you can hug her. Pet her, tell her you love her. Do all the fun things you've wanted to do with her. She'll let you know when it's time. She sounds like she's a wonderful dog with a great owner!
